County Supervisor

  • Authored the County’s new Sunshine Ordinance to make county government more transparent to the public. And he blew the whistle on corruption at the San Bernardino Airport.
  • Cut excessive benefits and perks for county elected officials. Neil was the 1st County Supervisor to put his expenses on-line for the public to view.
  • San Bernardino County Chair of “Stop the Fire Tax” to prevent Sacramento politicians from imposing an illegal Fire Service Fee on local residents.
  • Provided the highest level of new amenities ever for residents of the 3rd District — including new parks, athletic facilities, county government center
  • Supported expansion of the e-Verify identification system to combat illegal immigration and supported countywide crackdown against gang crime.
  • Led the successful fight to stop the Green Path North power line that threatened the quality of life for many of our local communities.

Community Leader

  • Honored as the 2010 “Distinguished Citizen of the Year” and 2008 Silver Beaver Award by the Inland Empire Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
  • Local Values — Graduate of Cal State University, San Bernardino. Served on the San Bernardino City Council from 2002-2008, where he successfully lowered city utility and business taxes.
  • Family Man — Neil lives in Redlands with his wife Michele and their young son Nathan.
