Neil Derry for Redlands City Council 2014
Redlands is a great community to call home. I ask for your vote for City Council to protect our quality of life while strengthening our city’s economy. My experience includes:
Military Veteran—Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps. Served two overseas tours of duty—including Operation Desert Storm.
Business Leadership—Former Regional Manager for Southern California Edison. Currently working as Senior Vice President for a successful local business.
Community Service—Represent Redlands on the County Board of Supervisors from 2008 to 2012. As your Supervisor, I secured over $1 million in county grant funding for the Redlands YMCA. I increased financial support for the Shakespeare Festival and obtained matching funds to purchase a new ladder truck for our Fire Department.
I believe city government must do a better job of planning for our community’s future. As your Councilman, my priorities are:
Economic Prosperity— Upgrading the Redlands Mall with quality new shops and restaurants. Attract employers and jobs that will generate the revenues needed to improve our city services.
Public Safety—Ensure a strong police presence in our neighborhoods to reduce crime.
Historic Preservation—Maintain our commitment to preserving Redland’s historic places and cultural resources.
I would be honored to represent you.
